Both the bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Sunday, the opening session of the week.
The benchmark index of the DSE went up by 20.88 points, while the Selective Category Index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose 54.25 points.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), advanced 20.88 points or 0.35 percent to stand at 5,855.75 at 12:54 pm.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 2.60 points or 0.19 percent to stand at 1,329.60 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips also advanced 5.21 points or 0.24 percent to stand at 2,136.38 points.
Trade deals stood at 95,824 with transaction at over Tk 7,425.15 million on the DSE.
Of the issues traded till then, 176 advanced, 96 declined and 56 issues remained unchanged.
IFAD Autos Limited dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 584.77 million changing hands till then.
The port city bourse also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index – CSCX–advancing 54.25 points to stand at 18,145.21 points, also at 12:51 pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 113 gained, 78 declined and 45 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 415.89 million.
