Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the ‘Digital World’ – a four-day ICT event of the country at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka today. The exposition aims to exhibit growth of Bangladesh in IT sector.
The event will remain open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm every day.
The cost for arranging the event has been estimated to around Tk 12 crores.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the event at 12:10 pm and the key attraction Sophia, the robot who recently has got her citizenship, stood beside her. Sophia is the testimony of the advancement of artificial intelligence.
The slogan of the ceremony is ‘Ready for Tomorrow’.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the State Minister for the ICT Divison, different Ministers and MPs were also present at the ceremony among others.
