BartaBangla Report :: World Class Flying Training Institute TAC Aeronautical Academy inaugurated their Pilot Training Flight, Self Hanger at Osmani International Airport, Sylhet on today 8th June 2013.  Hon’ble Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mr. Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP formally inaugurated the new venture of aviation field in Bangladesh “TAC Aeronautical Academy” as chief guest. Hon’ble Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Mr. Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, MP, Hon’ble Secretary Mr. Khursheid Alam Chowdhury, Ministry for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Hon’ble Chairman Air vice Marshal Mahmud Hussain, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh attended the program as special guests.

Capt Tasbirul Ahmed Choudhury, Managing Director of TAC Aeronautical Academy said, “After successful operation of United Airways (BD) Ltd., I felt we should unite once again to create a world class Pilot Training Academy & Commuter Airline in Bangladesh-this is TAC Aeronautical Academy.”

This new project (TAC Aeronautical Academy) will be in two phase, Pilot Training Academy & Commuter Airline. Our first phase will be the Flying Training Academy and second phase will be Commuter Airline operation. Ground Courses and administrative purpose for the TAC Aviation at Dhaka and flying training and operational purpose are at Dhaka and Sylhet.

TAC Aeronautical Academy is committed & will provide an excellent opportunity to all of their students to be trained in a very professional Airline environment. First 100 successful Pilots graduates will have the opportunity to join United Airways (BD) Ltd immediately after obtaining the Commercial Pilot License. TAC Aeronautical Academy has chosen PA-28 aircraft (the world best Training Aircraft) for their student Pilots all of their Aircrafts will be fully equipped with modern instruments.

TAC Aeronautical Academy is planning to start Charter devotion, by end of this year 2013 and the Commuter Airline by 1st quarter of 2014. TAC intends to purchase helicopters and sea plane for their charter operation; the training­­­­ facility will be fully capable to train Private & Commercial Pilots, dispatchers and Cabin Crew.

In the past few years the national Airline & Bangladeshi private Airlines are experiencing huge shortage of professional Pilots, as a result all the operators had to recruited good number of expatriates Pilots, this is not only in Bangladesh but globally there is shortage of Pilots for the Airline.

Bangladesh provides a unique opportunity for a viable international standard flying academy & a Commuter Airline in domestic sector. With this in mind the management of TAC Aeronautical Academy is fully committed to make sure that this vision becomes a successful reality.
