Google is a prominent search engine and marking the 70th birth anniversary of Bengali writer Humayun Ahmed, it has launched a new Doodle on its homepage.

Humayun Ahmed was one of the most popular authors of Bangladesh. He was born on November 13 in 1948 and died on July 19 in 2012.

This iconic writer led a very successful life and he was a multitalented personality.

He was a filmmaker, screenwriter, scholar, dramatist, and teacher. He got a break in 1972 with his work – Nondito Noroke (Appreciated Hell).

Following the success of this novel, he started writing and his distinctive writing style took him to the top of modern Bengali literature.

The number of literary works has crossed 200 and many of them were bestsellers in the country.

He also has created some characters like – Misir Ali and Himu.

Humayun Ahmed has won several prestigious awards including the Ekusaey Padak and Bangla Academy Award.
