The Dhaka Literary Festival (DLF) will open on Thursday. This is a three-day long event, and earlier it was known as the Hay Festival Dhaka. The festival will open on 16 November at Bangla Academy premises.
The Festival organizers, at a press conference in the city, informed the matter. The festival is on Dhaka for 17th time.
Some of the prominent literary activists and personalities will take part in this event including Nabaneeta Dev Sen – the Padma-Shri-winning poet, Ali Ahmad Said Esber (also known as Adunis), and Imdadul Haq Milon among others.
The Festival will also announce the DSC Prize winner and cultural programs will also be held.
Interactive panel discussion is a key feature of the event with writing workshops.
Participants from 24 different countries will take part in this event. Over 90 sessions is slated so far marking the Festival.
The festival will be open to all and for free.
Jatrik produces the Festival while Bangla Academy and Ministry of Cultural Affairs plays associative roles in this event.
