In line with the Uber and other application-based services, the CNG auto rickshaw’s in the city will be available using smartphone applications. The CNG drivers have decided to develop such applications so that they can get their passengers.

Recently, the CNG owners and drivers called for a strike against the ride-sharing applications and services terming them as illegal.

They also received negative criticisms from the passengers’ end.

A spokesman for the CNG driver and owner unity said that they did not oppose the ride-sharing ideas rather they wanted to remove the expired CNGs and continuing the ride-sharing after approval.

The spokesman also opined that the decision to get involved with app-based service was historic.

The CNG driver will be trained by next one and half months to use the application.

The app-service will also reduce the bargaining on fare fixing, and the trip would be comfortable for the passengers.
