Bangladesh has denounced the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, banning the Friday prayer and imposition of other restrictions around Haram Al Sharif by the Israeli authorities.
Foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali, in a message to his Palestinian counterpart, has conveyed Bangladesh’s stand in this regard, said the ministry on Tuesday.
The foreign minister also called upon the international community to revive the peace process in Middle East at the earliest and work towards a two-state solution.
Minister Ali also expressed profound sympathy to the victims.
In his message, the foreign minister reiterated Bangladesh’s commitment in realising the inalienable rights of the brotherly people of Palestine for an independent homeland.
