The police, in Maheskhali upazilla under Cox’s Bazar district have held one individual with 10 pieces of locally made firearms and 10 bullets.

The arrestee, Mohammad Shahjahan (45) was held during a raid on Wednesday afternoon in a local union of the upazilla.

Sources from police said that he was an enlisted terrorist. A number of complaints and cases are lodged against him with the police station. Around 11 cases have been filed against Shahjahan, said police sources.

The police members have held the firearms from a poultry farm under his ownership.
