Ivy on Thursday took oath as the mayor

Selina Hayat Ivy on Thursday took oath as the mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC).
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina administered the oath at a programme at the Prime Minister’s Office in the morning, reports news agency UNB.
Twenty seven elected general councillors and nine women councillors in reserved seats also took oath at the programme.
Ivy was reelected as the mayor of Narayanganj for the second consecutive time in an election held on 22 December last year.
Local government, rural development and cooperatives minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain administered the oath to all elected councillors.
Cabinet members, PM’s advisers and leaders of different political parties and senior officials were present on the occasion.
