BartaBangla Report :: Eight delegates from Bangladesh accompanied by Mizarul Quayes, the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Britain, attended a reception hosted by The HRH Prince of Wales on 11 September at the Clarence House, the official London residence of him.
The reception was for the 80 young leaders from 16 nations across the world who are taking part in Mosaic’s leadership programme. Founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2007, the programme aims to develop leadership skills, inspire thinking about global issues, and equip young people to become involved in their local communities.
During the reception, The Prince was joined Her Royal Highness Princess Badiya bint El Hassan of Jordan, who is a supporter of the charity and its International Leadership Programme.
Md. Abdul Quayyum, one of delegates from Bangladesh, who is currently working with Oxfam said, “It was a rare opportunity to meet the Prince in his house and discussed about the climate change in very brief.”
Among others, Md Robayet Khondoker, Md Shajedur Rahman Shawon, Mehnaz Morshed, Nusrat Khan Majlish, Reema Islam, Saad Hammadi and Nazmul Haque from Bangladesh were present.
