BartaBangla Report :: A Dhaka Court issued arrest warrant against Awami League lawmaker Golam Maula Rony canceling his bail in the case of assaulting TV journalists.
Metropolitan Magistrate Shahriar Mahmud Adnan passed the order following a petition of victim to cancel the bail.
In his plea, plaintiff Independent TV assistant manager Yunus Ali alleged that after getting bail Rony issused threat to him.
On July 21, Dhaka Metropolitan magistrate Rezaul Karim bailed him out upon a bond of TK 5,000 bond when Roni pleaded for bail after surrendering before the court Sunday.
On Saturday, authorities of Independent Television filed case against MP Roni and 20/25 other unknown persons for their alleged involvement in physically assaulting two journalists of the TV channel. MP Roni and others were accused for attempt to murder, vandalism and arson.
Later, Golam Mawla Roni filed a counter case against Salman F Rahman, owner of the Independent Television, and two others on Saturday night.
He filed the case with Shahbagh police station in allegations of claiming extortion from him and threatening the kill him.
