BartaBangla Desk :: Flights at Chittagong’s Shah Amanat International Airport resumed on Friday morning after 42 hours of suspension in wake of cyclone ‘Mahasen’.
Though authorities had decided to open the airport at 4:00pm on Thursday, the first flight since suspension landed in the morning.
The airport’s Manager squadron leader Rabiul Hossain confirmed to bdnews24.com that a Regent Airways flight, from Dhaka, landed in the airport at 10:26am.Earlier, the airport was closed on Wednesday for cyclone ‘Mahasen’. All valuable equipment were taken to safer grounds.
After the storm subsided, authorities decided to reopen the airport on Thursday at 4:00pm.
