BartaBangla Desk :: Indian new Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said his government will keenly consider signing Teesta water-sharing deal and land boundary agreement with Bangladesh.
He assured this at a meeting with Bangladesh Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the Hyderabad House around 1:30pm .
The Speaker, who flew to India to attend the oath taking function of the BJP leader as India’s 15th prime minister , was talking to reporters after the meeting on Tuesday.
Modi is eager to visit Bangladesh as soon as possible, she added.
Modi on Tuesday met with leaders of the Saarc countries including Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Afghan President Hamid Karzai at the Hyderabad House.
