At least two people were killed and five others injured when a truck hit a pickup van in Mithapukur’s Jaigir Haat on Dhaka-Rangpur highway early Monday.<\/p>\n
Of the deceased, one was a man and the other a woman, both hailing from Bogra’s Sherpur. However, the identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.<\/p>\n
According to Boro Dargah highway police sub-inspector Hafizur Rahman, a Bogra-bound pickup van collided head on with a fertilizer-laden truck in Jaigir Haat, leaving two of the pickup van passengers killed on the spot and injured the other five.<\/p>\n
The injured were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, the SI added.
\nTwo people were killed in a road accident in front of Sadar upazila office in the district town on Monday morning, reports news agency UNB.<\/p>\n
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.<\/p>\n
