Three pedestrians were crushed under a bus when it plunged into a roadside ditch in Bhobokdia area of Nagarkanda upazila on Dhaka-Barisal highway in Faridpur on Tuesday morning.
\nThe deceased were identified as Wazed Chokder, 65, Rakibul Hasan, 25, and Meherun Nesa, 55, residents of Bari Dangi union.
\nBhanga Highway police station officer-in-charge Ejaj Uddin said that the accident took place around 11:00am as the Dhaka-bound ‘Sonartari Paribahan’ bus skidded off the ditch running over the pedestrians after its driver lost control over the steering.
\nThree pedestrians were crushed under the bus and 15 bus passengers injured in the incident, added the OC.
\nOn information, highway police and fire fighting team went to the spot and continued rescue drive.
\nThe injured were admitted to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital.
