{"id":5319,"date":"2017-08-11T13:27:20","date_gmt":"2017-08-11T07:27:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/digbazar.com\/bartaeng\/?p=5319"},"modified":"2017-08-11T13:27:20","modified_gmt":"2017-08-11T07:27:20","slug":"2-killed-5-injured-panchagarh-lightning-strikes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartabangla.com\/english\/2-killed-5-injured-panchagarh-lightning-strikes\/","title":{"rendered":"2 killed, 5 injured in Panchagarh lightning strikes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At least two people were killed and five others injured after lightning strikes in Sadar and Boda upazilas of Panchagarh district.<\/p>\n<p>Boda upazila\u2019s Benghari union parishad (UP) chairman Abul Kalam said thunderbolt struck Nasir Ullah, 42, son of Abdul Kader, injuring him seriously while working at a paddy field on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Later, he was taken to Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital where physician declared him dead.<br \/>\nIn Sadar upazila, a certain Sohel Rana, 19, was killed in a lighting strike on the spot, said UP chairman of the upazila Zahedul Haque.<\/p>\n<p>Also, four women and a man were injured in separate lighting strikes in Sadar upazila\u2019s Birpara and Chanpara areas.<br \/>\nThe injured Foyjan Begum, 60, Rabeya Khatun, 40, Morzina Khatun, 14, Amina Khatun and Mustafizur Rahman were treated at the Sadar hospital.<br \/>\nThe hospital physician, Towhidur Rahman, said six people were taken to the hospital.
