Dean of Science Faculty at Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) Rashed Kabir, was killed and nine others were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Pabna-Dhaka highway in Chakla area of Bera upazila early Saturday, reports news agency UNB.<\/p>\n
Santhia police station officer-in-charge Abu Md Delwar Hasan Inam said, the Pabna-bound bus of \u2018Sarker Travels\u2019 from Dhaka skidded off the road and fell into a roadside ditch under Chanda Bridge in the area around 1:30 am, leaving 10 including Rashed Kabir injured.<\/p>\n
On information, police and firefighters rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.<\/p>\n
The injured were taken to Bera Upazila Hospital where doctors declared Rashed, 55, dead.<\/p>\n
