{"id":4991,"date":"2017-07-27T15:25:17","date_gmt":"2017-07-27T09:25:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/digbazar.com\/bartaeng\/?p=4991"},"modified":"2017-07-27T15:25:17","modified_gmt":"2017-07-27T09:25:17","slug":"siddiqur-flies-chennai-treatment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartabangla.com\/english\/siddiqur-flies-chennai-treatment\/","title":{"rendered":"Siddiqur flies to Chennai for treatment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Government Titumir College student M Siddiqur Rahman, who suffered serious eye injuries during a police action at Shahbagh, has been flown to Chennai in India on Thursday for better treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The health and family affairs ministry is bearing all the expenses of Siddiqur\u2019s treatment at Shankar Netralaya in Chennai.<\/p>\n<p>Siddiqur\u2019s classmate Sheikh Farid said they started for the airport from the hospital around 10:00am along with Siddiqur\u2019s elder brother Nayeb Ali and Zahidul Islam, an assistant professor of National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Titumir College student Siddiqur sustained injuries in his eyes during a demonstration on 20 July when the police charged tear shells on agitating students of seven government colleges, affiliated with the University of Dhaka, at Shahbagh in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Siddiqur was undergoing treatment in the capital\u2019s National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital where surgeries on both of his eyes were done on last Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Government Titumir College student M Siddiqur Rahman, who suffered serious eye injuries during a police action at Shahbagh, has been flown to Chennai in India on Thursday for better treatment.
