Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia on Wednesday claimed that the information the police have obtained about Farhad Mazhar\u2019s abduction do not corroborate his statement given under Section 164.
\nSpeaking at a programme at the DMP headquarters in the capital, the police officer said everything in this regard will be known soon, after the investigation.<\/p>\n
Asaduzzaman said the mystery over the Farhad abduction would be solved in a day or two.<\/p>\n
Farhad Mazhar and his family said the poet was abducted from his Shyamali\u2019s Adabar residence early morning on 3 July and the law enforcers rescued him from Khulna 18 hours into his abduction.<\/p>\n
Farhad in his statement given before a court under Section 164 said he was picked up by a group of miscreants by a microbus.<\/p>\n
On 8 July, the Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Hoque doubted if Farhad was really abducted or he himself went to Khulna.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
