BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday said the government is implicating local BNP leaders in the attacks on Nasirnagar Hindu community in a bid to save minister and ruling party MPs and leaders.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll news outlets of the country have reported that local MPs and ministers of ruling Awami League were involved in the attacks,\u201d said the BNP leaders while briefing newsmen at the party\u2019s Naya Paltan central office.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government has indicted one or two local BNP leaders into the police investigation report in order to save Awami ministers, MPs and leaders,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He also said the investigations carried out by the police into the attacks on the minority community in Nasirnagar, Brahmanbaria, were \u2018stage-managed\u2019.<\/p>\n
Rizvi said his party rejected the findings of the investigation into the incidents of attacks and arson of temples and houses of minority Hindu people.<\/p>\n
Referring to different media reports, Rizvi said that it was the feud within local Bangladesh Awami League that led to the shameful incidents of Nasirnagar.<\/p>\n
In support of his contention, he referred to the statements by Hindu community leaders, civil society representatives and media reports.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut the ruling camp is trying to blame others for their misdeeds,\u201d said the BNP leader.<\/p>\n
