{"id":2007,"date":"2013-08-11T01:34:58","date_gmt":"2013-08-10T19:34:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bartabangla.com\/english\/?p=2007"},"modified":"2013-08-11T01:34:58","modified_gmt":"2013-08-10T19:34:58","slug":"road-crash-kills-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartabangla.com\/english\/road-crash-kills-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Road crash kills 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartabangla.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/road-accdient-in-gaibanda.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2008\" alt=\"road accdient in gaibanda\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bartabangla.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/road-accdient-in-gaibanda-300x230.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a>BartaBangla Report :: <\/strong>Ten people, including nine from a same village, were killed and 20 others injured after two buses collided head-on at Gobindaganj Upazila in Gaibandha on Saturday, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Gobindaganj Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Faruk Hossain told\u201cThe accident took place around 4:30pm at the Upazila\u2019s Boalia area on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway,\u201d .<\/p>\n<p>He said nine of the deceased were from Khuksia Kalugari village under Gabindaganj Upazila and they were on their way to attend a family programme. \u201cThe driver of their bus was also killed,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Three passengers of the bus died on the spot after it collided with the Rangpur-bound bus of Hanif Paribahan.<\/p>\n<p>He added the seven other died at the hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased are- Maria Begum, 65, wife of late Aftab Uddin, Maria\u2019s daughter Malti Begul, 50, Shamshurnahar Begum, 60, wife of Abul Quashem, her two daughters Aktari begum, 35 and Salma Akhter Papiya, 32, Shahana Parvin,53, wife of Kaosarul Islam, Selina Begum, 45, wife of Abdul Matin Mia, her son, Sabbir Mia, 12 and grandson, Risha alias Riju, 7.<\/p>\n<p>Police could not identify the driver.<\/p>\n<p>The injured are being treated at several local hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Faruk Hossain said the two buses were kept in the police station. \u201cA case is being filed with Gobindaganj Police Station,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the driver of the other bus has been absconding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BartaBangla Report :: Ten people, including nine from a same village, were killed and 20 others injured after two buses collided head-on at Gobindaganj Upazila in Gaibandha on Saturday, police said.
