He (Rony) will be produced before the court. All are equal in the eyes of law. If any one commits crime, he\u2019ll be punished as per the law,\u201d he told reporters at the Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>While asked about Awami League&#8217;s action against him (Rony), the ruling party spokesman said, \u201cWhen the law will punish him, then the party will also take action against him.<\/p>\n<p>Ashraf also said that Rony should stay aside from politics on his own if he is found guilty. \u201cNo guilty person should be there in politics, let alone Rony.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, a team of DB police arrested Rony from the city\u2019s Badda area, hours after\u00a0 court issued a warrant for his arrest cancelling his bail granted earlier in a case filed for assaulting two TV journalists.<\/p>\n<p>Rony along with his supporters on Sunday reportedly assaulted Independent TV reporter Imtiaz Momin Sony and cameraman Mohsin Mukul Bakul when they went to Rony\u2019s office on the 9th floor of \u2018Meherba Plaza\u2019 at Topkhana Road in the city to verify some allegations against the MP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BartaBangla Report :: Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam said on Wednesday that his party will take action against its controversial MP Golam Maula Rony if he is found guilty. &nbsp; \u201cThe law will take its own course.
