{"id":1011,"date":"2013-05-17T12:17:46","date_gmt":"2013-05-17T06:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bartabangla.com\/english\/?p=1011"},"modified":"2013-05-17T12:17:46","modified_gmt":"2013-05-17T06:17:46","slug":"four-die-in-dhaka-and-three-in-gopalganj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartabangla.com\/english\/four-die-in-dhaka-and-three-in-gopalganj\/","title":{"rendered":"Four die in Dhaka and three in Gopalganj"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartabangla.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/2012-04-20__road-accident1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1012\" alt=\"2012-04-20__road-accident\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bartabangla.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/2012-04-20__road-accident1-300x117.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"117\" \/><\/a><\/b><b>BartaBangla Desk ::\u00a0<\/b>Two pedestrians died when a bus hit them in the city\u2019s Uttara in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Uttara Police Station Rezaul Hasan told that a Gazipur-bound bus of \u2018Balaka Paribahan\u2019 knocked them down at Jasimuddin intersection while they were getting across the road at about 9:30am,<\/p>\n<p>On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>They also seized the bus and arrested its driver, the OC said.<\/p>\n<p>In another road accident, two people were killed and as many injured when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit a motorcycle at Shakta of Keraniganj, on the outskirts of the capital, at noon.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased were identified as motorcyclists Md Russell, 18, and Russell Ahmed, 20.<\/p>\n<p>The injured are another motorcyclist Md Foysal, 20, and auto-rickshaw driver Samad Ali. They were admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Sub-Inspector (Investigation) of Keraniganj Model Police Station Shah Zaman told that the three-wheeler crashed into the motorcycle at around 12:30pm when three friends were going to Nawabganj from the capital.<\/p>\n<p>Police took the auto-rickshaw to the police station.<\/p>\n<p>In Gopalganj, a Dhaka-bound truck collided head-on with a pick-up van in Gopinathpur on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in the Sadar Upazila, killing three people.<\/p>\n<p>The identities of the deceased could not be immediately known.<\/p>\n<p>Sub-Inspector of Gopinathpur Highway Police Outpost Ikram Hossain told that the accident occurred at around 4am, leaving the truck driver dead on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>The truck driver\u2019s helper, pick-up van driver and his assistant were admitted to Gopalganj 250-Bed General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The pick-up van driver and truck driver\u2019s assistant succumbed to their injuries there in the morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BartaBangla Desk ::\u00a0Two pedestrians died when a bus hit them in the city\u2019s Uttara in the morning.
